Churro bites

Churro bites are delicious, bite-sized versions of the classic churros. They are crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and coated in cinnamon sugar. Here’s how to make them:

Ingredients:

For the dough:

1 cup water
2 tablespoons white sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 cup all-purpose flour
Vegetable oil, for frying
For coating:

1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:

In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, salt, and vegetable oil. Bring to a boil over medium heat.

Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the flour until the mixture forms a dough.

Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or a heavy-bottomed pot to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a large star tip.

Pipe 1-inch strips of dough into the hot oil, using scissors to cut the dough. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes, flipping halfway through if necessary.

Remove the churro bites from the oil using a slotted spoon and drain them on paper towels.

In a shallow bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.

While the churro bites are still warm, roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture until evenly coated.

Serve the churro bites warm on their own or with chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, or dulce de leche for dipping.

Enjoy your homemade churro bites as a delightful treat for any occasion! They’re perfect for parties, snacks, or dessert.
