“Hagrid’s Rustic Wizarding Delights: Marbled Cookies Recipe”

Hagrid’s Marbled Cookies 🍪

With October comes a season filled with the scents of cinnamon, apples, pumpkins, and gingerbread, and for me, that’s the essence of joy.

Each year, I make it a tradition to have a Harry Potter movie marathon. Before we dive into the recipe, let me know in the comments which part is your favorite ⚡️

A few months back, I picked up a cookbook inspired by the movie series, and now it’s the perfect time to test some recipes.

These cookies are a quick treat, taking only 10 minutes to prepare and 15 minutes to bake.

Here’s what you’ll need:

• 220g of flour • 1 teaspoon of gingerbread spice • 2 teaspoons of baking powder • 2 small or 1 large egg • 2 tablespoons of milk • 135g of dried fruit (I used cranberries, cherries, and blackberries) • A pinch of salt • Vanilla sugar • 50g of sugar • 110g of butter • Zest of 1 lemon

Instructions:

Start by mixing the flour, gingerbread spice, and baking powder in a bowl. Add room-temperature butter cubes and crumble with your hands until the mixture becomes coarse and grainy. Grate the zest of one lemon. Incorporate the dried fruit and sugar until well mixed. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs with the milk, then combine with the dry ingredients. Mix well and spoon out the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper to form 12 cookies. Don’t worry about shaping them perfectly; they should be a bit rustic, just like Hagrid’s own creations. Finally, sprinkle some vanilla sugar on top. Bake for 15-20 minutes in an oven preheated to 200 degrees Celsius.
