Pumpkin Rolls 🎃
Ingredients:
- 150g pumpkin puree (homemade or store-bought baby food)
- 100ml milk
- 330g flour
- 7g dry yeast
- 1 egg
- 20g sugar
- 20g butter
- Salt to taste
- Egg yolk for brushing
- Pumpkin seeds for garnish
Instructions:
- Start by making the sponge. Warm the milk slightly, then dissolve the sugar and yeast in it. Let it sit for 5 minutes until a frothy layer forms.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the remaining ingredients, pour in the yeast mixture, and knead into a dough. It will be somewhat sticky and soft.
- Oil your hands with vegetable oil and transfer the dough to a bowl where it can rise. Leave it in a warm place under a towel for about an hour to double in size.
- Once the dough has risen, begin forming the rolls. Divide the dough into equal portions, roll them into balls, and tie each with a thread to shape. Place on a baking sheet and let them proof for another 20 minutes.
- Brush the rolls with beaten egg yolk and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C.
- Remove the threads from the baked rolls, brush with melted butter, and decorate with pumpkin seeds. Enjoy your meal!
