Pumpkin Rolls 🎃

Ingredients:

  • 150g pumpkin puree (homemade or store-bought baby food)
  • 100ml milk
  • 330g flour
  • 7g dry yeast
  • 1 egg
  • 20g sugar
  • 20g butter
  • Salt to taste
  • Egg yolk for brushing
  • Pumpkin seeds for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Start by making the sponge. Warm the milk slightly, then dissolve the sugar and yeast in it. Let it sit for 5 minutes until a frothy layer forms.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the remaining ingredients, pour in the yeast mixture, and knead into a dough. It will be somewhat sticky and soft.
  3. Oil your hands with vegetable oil and transfer the dough to a bowl where it can rise. Leave it in a warm place under a towel for about an hour to double in size.
  4. Once the dough has risen, begin forming the rolls. Divide the dough into equal portions, roll them into balls, and tie each with a thread to shape. Place on a baking sheet and let them proof for another 20 minutes.
  5. Brush the rolls with beaten egg yolk and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C.
  6. Remove the threads from the baked rolls, brush with melted butter, and decorate with pumpkin seeds. Enjoy your meal!
