Tiramisu With Kinder

Tiramisu with Kinder chocolate adds a delightful twist to the classic Italian dessert. By incorporating the creamy milk chocolate of Kinder, you create an even more indulgent treat. This version maintains the essence of traditional tiramisu, with layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers and a rich mascarpone cheese mixture, but adds Kinder chocolate for a sweet, milky flavor. Here’s how to make it:

Ingredients:

  • 6 large egg yolks
  • 3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar
  • 1 cup (240ml) espresso or strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 1 pound (450g) mascarpone cheese, at room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cups (360ml) heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 packages of ladyfingers (savoiardi biscuits)
  • 4-6 Kinder chocolate bars (depending on size and preference), chopped
  • Cocoa powder, for dusting

Instructions:

  1. Make the Coffee Mixture:
    • In a shallow dish, combine the cooled espresso with the coffee liqueur (if using). Set aside.
  2. Prepare the Mascarpone Mixture:
    • In a large bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and granulated sugar until light and creamy.
    • Add the mascarpone cheese and mix until smooth and well combined.
  3. Whip the Cream:
    • In another bowl, beat the heavy cream and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  4. Fold in the Whipped Cream:
    • Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until just combined.
  5. Assemble the Tiramisu:
    • Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, making sure not to soak them too long. Arrange a layer of dipped ladyfingers at the bottom of your serving dish.
    • Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
    • Sprinkle half of the chopped Kinder chocolate over the mascarpone layer.
    • Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers, the remaining mascarpone mixture, and Kinder chocolate.
  6. Chill:
    • Cover and refrigerate the tiramisu for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to allow the flavors to meld and the dessert to set.
  7. Serve:
    • Just before serving, dust the top of the tiramisu with cocoa powder for a classic finish.

Enjoy your delicious twist on traditional tiramisu, featuring the creamy, milky taste of Kinder chocolate. This dessert is sure to be a hit with both kids and adults alike!
